Ingredients
Directions
3 cups Corned Beef Juice3 cups Water1 medium Onion - chopped1 450g tin of chopped Tomatoes (or 4 if in season)1/2 tsp Garlic Powder2 tbsp Tomato Paste
This recipe is always easier to make just after you have cooked a corned beef. I cook my corned beef in a slow cooker and then once its done i simply take the meat out leaving the juice behind.
If you have a lot of juice it might pay to take some out otherwise it may be to salty.
So if you leave about 3 cups and then add another 3 cups of water to the slow cooker.
If you want to add more nutrients to it, drain the veggie water into it and then top up to 3 cups with tap water.
Now add the chopped onion, tin of tomatoes (also the juice if it has it), tomato paste and the garlic powder.
Then leave to cook for around 3 hours or until onions are soft.
Feel free to add any of your favourite veggies, herbs or spices.
