Aussie Breakfast Bread

Ingredients
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats (not instant)1/4 cup skim milk, warm1 cup flour1 cup whole wheat flour2 tsp baking powder1/2 cup dried cherries1/3 cup dried apple, chopped2 tbsp brown sugar1 tsp cinnamon3 tbsp honey1 egg, lightly beaten1/4 cup sliced almonds
Directions
Put milk and oats in bowl. Soak for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350F, lightly grease a loaf pan.
Blend flours through cinnamon in a large bowl.
Stir in oat mixture, honey, egg and almonds and mix just until combined well.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Cool in pan 10 minutes, transfer to rack and cool completely.
