Crispy Traditional Waffles

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt (I use sea salt)1 teaspoon butter, melted1 teaspoon sugar1 cup milk1 egg, seperated
Directions
Beat egg white in a small bowl until stiff. Set aside. Sift dry ingredients together in a medium bowl. Add egg yolk, milk and butter to the dry ingredients and beat together thoroughly. Fold in egg whites. Do not over mix. Pour 1/3-1/2 cup batter onto hot waffle iron. Cooking time and amount of batter will differ depending on the size of your waffle iron. Ours makes 2 small waffles at a time and cooks in 3 minutes. This recipe makes 8 waffles in our maker.
