Oatmeal Breakfast Bars

Ingredients
4 cups quick cooking oats1 cup brown sugar, packed1 teaspoon salt1 cup flaked coconut3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted3/4 cup orange marmalade
Directions
In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well.

Press into a greased 15x10x1 baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

Makes 30 bars

    I used regular rolled oats by mistake and added a cup of raisins. They did not hold together very well and were too sweet. I will follow the recipe next time with quick cooking oats and less swet stuff. - 8/2/15

    Due to being allergic to all sugars except Stevia, I used this recipe and rewrote it. I replaced the brown sugar with 1C stevia extract in the raw & used sugar free apple butter in place of marmalde. I omitted the coconut. Cut in 16 pieces - 169 Cal. Add 1C raisins - 202 Cal - 1C coconut - 252 Cal - 1/20/11
