Ingredients
Directions
-medium sized sauce pan-popcorn seeds. I calculated the recipe for the yellow seeds, but i suggest the white seeds, or the black gourmet seeds for better taste. I just assume that the most common popcorn is yellow.-Garlic Powder-Salt (I use sea-salt for flavor)-largeeee bowl for popcorn
For the best popcorn of your life, follow these directions:
1. get the sauce pan out, throw in 5 popcorn kernels, and measure out the oil (1/4 cup), put it with the popcorn.
**MAKE SURE THE SAUCE PAN IS NOT WET AT ALL!! ANY MOISTURE AT ALL WILL CAUSE THE OIL TO POP A LOT!!!!!!***
2. on High heat, wait by the sauce pan and wait till you hear 5 pops.
3. as soon as you hear the pops, add the rest of the popcorn kernels (3/4 cup).
4. Very quickly, add the .25 tablespoon of garlic powder and cover!
5. Shake the pan until the kernels begin popping.
6. Once the kernels start popping be very careful! The pan will overflow, make sure you have a large bowl right next to you. Once it pops and the lid starts to lift, pour the excess into the bowl. BE CAREFUL without practice this can be VERY SCARY, and if you aren't VERY CAREFUL you could get burnt. Make sure you do no just pour all of the popcorn into the pan, that also may lead to popcorn popping in your face, or oil spitting!
You may have to pour the excess into the bowl 3 or 4 times!
7. In between times you pour the popcorn in the bowl, I like to add the salt so that it's layered.
8. Onces it's done, make sure you turn the burner off and ENJOY.
NOTE:
This is a very large quantity, I would be careful to alter the recipe more then 1/2 of the amount. You need to make sure the oil in the pan at least cover the seeds!
Also: when you make this, I would suggest immediately putting some away, or measuring out how much you want. This popcorn is VERY addictive!
