Lentil, Ham and Potato Soup

Ingredients
225 g / 8 oz. ham, diced4 c. potatoes, peeled and diced1 c. onion, diced4 cloves garlic, minced2 tsp. salt1 tsp. pepper1 tsp. cumin 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
Directions
Sort lentils and put in large pot.
Add potatoes, onion, garlic and ham.
Bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to simmer.
Cover and cook 20-30 minutes or until lentils and potatoes are as soft.
Add seasonings, adjusting to your own personal taste.
