Chocolate Chip Date Cake

1 cup of chopped dates1.5 cups boiling water3/4 tsp Baking Soda2 cups All Purpose Flour1 tsp Baking Soda2 large eggs1/2 cup Granulated Sugar1/4 cup Sunsweet Lighter Bake3/4 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips1/2 cup Brown Sugar
Preheat oven to 350 F
Spray a 9X13 cake pan with cooking spray
Mix dates, boiling water and 3/4 tsp baking soda together, set aside to cool to luke warm.
Mix 1 tsp baking soda and flour in small bowl.
In large bowl beat eggs, white sugar Sunsweet lighter bake until well mixed.
Add dates and water mix to wet ingredients. Stir until well blended. Stir in flour mix, just until blended.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Mix brown sugar and chocolate chips, sprinkle evenly over the top of the batter.
Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool before slicing.
