Sicilian Chicken in Tomato Sauce

1 tsp dried basil1 tsp dried oregano1/4 tsp ground pepper4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless1 tbsp olive oil1 small onion chopped1 clove of garlic, diced1 can diced or stewed tomatoes2 tsp chopped green olives2 tsp red wine vinegar2 tsp cinnamon24oz cooked short curly pasta
Combine basil, oregano and pepper and sprinkle on both sides of chicken breasts. Brown chicken in large skillet heated on medium high heat with half of the olive oil. Cook about 4 minutes and remove to plate.
Add remaining oil, onion, garlic and remaining basil mixture. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onion is softened.
Add tomatoes, olives, vinegar and cinnamon and bring to a boil.
Reture chicken and any juices to skillet, reduce heat, cover and simmer for an additional 10 minutes or so until inside of chicken is no longer pink.
Serve on top of a curly pasta like fusilli.
