Sirloin Tips

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb Beef, top sirloin cut into 1" strips2 tbsp Olive Oil, 3 clove Garlic2 oz Onions minced2 tbsp Brown Sugar, unpacked1/2 tsp Chili powder, 1 1/2 tsp Black Pepper1 tbsp Sesame Seeds, 1/2 tsp Salt1Tbl Flour1 cup Water, tap, (8 fl oz)
Directions
Makes 6 servings
Heat olive oil and glaze Garlic and Onions.
Add brown sugar and cook 2-3 min more.
Add Sirloin, Chili Powder, Pepper, salt, and Sesame Seeds and cook over med heat untill meat is done.

Mix flour with water getting out all the lumps. Add to rest of ingreadients cover and simmer for 20 min. Serve.

    This was okay. The sauce did not thicken and the tips were rubbery from sitting in the water base too long. Next time I would use cornstarch to thicken he water. I also might have cooked them to a medium rare instead. - 7/7/11

    i stirred in a little sour cream and broth at the end and put it on noodles. I liked the brown sugar flavor in it. I thought to squirt a little lemon juice at the end too. and thyme.
