Marinara Spaghetti Sauce Ketogenic

Ingredients

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 3 cloves of garlic, minced 2 (28 oz) cans of crushed tomatoes (each can is 800 grams) 11/2 cup water 2 teaspoons dried basil 2 teaspoons dried oregano (or 10 drops of Oregano Oil that is 50% pure) 2 teaspoons dried parsley 2 teaspoons salt pepper to taste hot pepper sauce (optional) Top with fresh chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Heat the oil in a large pot. Saute the garlic.
Add all the other ingredients to the pot and bring to a boil.
Once at a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 25-30 minutes.
Puree the sauce with a blender or immersion wand
Add toppings and serve over your favorite pasta or use in any recipe that calls for pasta sauce. Can add a can of mushrooms (drained) if you like mushrooms in the pasta sauce. You can also add 1/2 lb ground beef for a meat sauce (or broken up pieces of left over meatloaf or meatballs).
Serving Size: makes 10 1/2 cup servings
