Col's Pasta Sauce

Ingredients
2 T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Kirkland 142 grams fresh chopped onion 15 grams (about 5 medium cloves) Fresh Garlic 2 tsp. dried basil (or 2 T. fresh) 1/2 tsp. dried oregano 822 grams Hunts No Salt Added Diced Tomatoes 6 oz. Water-Brita Filtered 1 (6 oz) can Red Gold Tomato Paste 1 tsp. Granulated Sugar 214 grams (about 7 1/2 oz.) Fresh Mushrooms
Directions
Saute onion and garlic in oil till translucent. Add basil and oregano, and saute 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer 20 to 90 minutes, whatever you have time for. Adjust seasonings to taste.
