1 can Coconut Milk or 400ml home made4 T coconut powder4-5 trifala1 Star annise1 t cumin seeds1 small onion2 cloves of garlic1 T Coriander Powder4 T Coriander Leaves1/2 t garam masala2 t chilli powder or as per hotness required1 t turmeric powder2 dry red chillies2 T tamarind juice3 T Oilsalt as requiredwater as per the thickness of the curry required
In a mixer, mix onion, garlic, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, coconut powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and salt
Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel, add cumin seeds, triffala, star annise and red chillies. Taking care this doesn't get burnt, add the coconut milk and then the mixer contents.
Boil on medium heat for 20 mins then stir in the fish or veg or prawns until cooked. Add water as required. Finally stir in the tamarind juice. Taking care not to over boil after adding tamarind juice as the curry can break.
Serving Size: Makes 8 medium bowls servings
