Faux Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
- Minutes to Prepare:
- Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients
Directions
6 frozen ripe bananas (sliced and frozen)1/2 brewed cocoa grounds (I use Crio Bru)2 tsp vanilla (I use Molina Vanilla)1/4 c dairy free, soy free, gluten free chocolate chips (optional) (I use Enjoy Life)
Slice very ripe bananas into thin bite size chunks, put into a large ziploc bag and make flat. Freeze
Once frozen, while still in bag, break apart banana chunks.
Put banana, vanilla, and cocoa grounds into a Vitamix or a high power blender and blend, making sure all banana chunks are blended, but be careful not to blend until melted. Should look like a soft serve ice cream when finished.
Transfer to a large bowl and stir in chocolate chips if desired. Serve as is, or freeze for later.
Serving Size: makes approximately 8 1/2 cup servings
Number of Servings: 8
