Lamb meatballs in mushroom sauce

*Lamb, ground, 16 oz (remove) Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) (remove) Egg, fresh, whole, raw, 1 large (remove) *mushrooms-white small/medium 8 oz package, 8 oz (remove) Butter, salted, 2 tbsp (remove) Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 1 tbsp (remove) Lamb broth or stock, 1 cup (remove)
Mix 1/2 onion, ground lamb, egg and spices together. Form into small balls (about 30). Brown in olive oil over medium heat.
In same skillet, add butter, mushrooms, and remaining onion. Saute until softened. Add broth, turn heat to medium and reduce by at least one third. Remove vegetables with slotted spoon.
Transfer to slow cooker, layering meatballs and vegetables. Pour broth over.
Turn slow cooker on low for 6+ hours.
Serving Size: Makes 5 servings, about 6 meatballs per serving.
