Ingredients
Ingredients:Onions, raw, 5 slice, medium (1/8" thick) *Potato, raw, 4 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Garlic, 3 clove Ginger Root, 2 tsp Turmeric, ground, 1 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tsp *Cumin seed, 1 tsp *Cumin Seed, Ground (1Tbsp), 1.5 tbsp*ground corriander, 1 tbsp *Black Mustard Seeds, 1 tsp Olive Oil, 2 tbsp *asafoetida (hing), 0.25 tsp *Salt, Sifto Table Salt, 0.5 tsp
Directions
Cut Onions and Potatoes into long slices. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds and cumin seeds let it pop, add cinamon stick, when brown add hing - add onions and potatoes, add turmeric/cumin/coriander/chilli powder - add ginger and garlic paste and salt. Let it cook covered till tender at medium temprature. When cooked properly remove from heat. (approx. 10 to 12 min.) Serve when hot when ready you may want to cook crispy.
