Ingredients
Directions
4 chicken leg quarters (thigh and drumstick)8 tbsp of BBQ sauce - 1 tbsp per side (I used Sweet Baby Ray's Original Recipe)8 tsp rub - 2 tsp per leg (I used Grill Mates Memphis Pit BBQ Rub)
Place the rub on the skin side of each quarter.
Put 3-4 pieces of balled up tinfoil in the bottom of your crockpot.
Place the leg quarters on top of the tin foil so they all fit in the crockpot and cook for 6-8 hours on low (I did 8 hours).
After they have finished, transfer the leg quarters to a rack on top of a foil-lined baking sheet and spread the sauce on one side.
Place the legs under a high broiler for 2-3 minutes to let the sauce caramelize and the skin get crispier.
Flip the legs, apply sauce and re-broil until done.
Serving Size: makes 4 servings (1 leg quarter per serving-no skin)
Number of Servings: 4
