Donna's Low Sugar German Red cabbage

Ingredients
1 medium sized head red cabbage, sliced thinly2 gala apples, chopped finely2 slices low sodium bacon1 medium onion, chopped1 quart water1/2 c. apple cider vinegar1/2 c. combination stevia, coconut palm sugar & Erythritol, equal parts1/8 c. brown sugar or brown sugar substitute(Or you can use stevia or other preferred sweetener)1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. black pepper4 whole cloves1 bay leaf2 TB gluten free flour
Directions
cut bacon into small pieces. Place in large dutch oven and brown lightly. Add chopped onion and apples, sauteing until slightly tender. Add cabbage, water, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and spices. Stir. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender. Just before servings, sprinkle with flour and stir to absorb liquid.
