Heart Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

1/4 cup canola or soya oil1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce1 large egg1/4 cup Splenda brown sugar substitute1/2 cup regular Splenda1 tsp. vanilla extract1/2 cup flour1/2 cup oat (or wheat) bran3 T. flaxseed (optional)1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 cup dried cranberries (or raisins)1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or almonds)1 cup Quick oats (rolled oats)
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix the oil, sugar substitutes, egg , applesauce and vanilla together well.
Add the flour, oat or wheat bran, flaxseed and baking soda. Mix well.
Stir in rolled oats, and dried fruit and nuts..
Drop in generous tablespoons onto parchment -lined cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
