1 cup vegetable shortening1 cup or 1 stick of butter1-2 tbs. milk as needed1-2 tbs. water as needed1 tbs. meringue powder1tsp. clear vanilla extract1 tsp. butter flavoring1/2 tsp. almond extract2 lbs. powdered sugar
cream together butter an shortening (approx. 5 min.) add in the almond and vanilla extract and butter flavoring mix til blended. then add in your meringue powder and half the bag of powdered sugar mix til blended, add 1/4 of remaining powdered sugar at a time making sure its well blended add a tbs. of water at a time. when it gets really thick an hard to mix add a tbs. of milk at a time.
Serving Size: makes enough to icing a 8 in. 3 layer or 13x9 cake
