Hawaiian Meatballs over Rice

Ingredients
1 cup long grain brown rice1 lb. extra lean ground beef1 cup (freshly made) bread crumbs1 s egg white1/3 cup skim milk1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. onion powder1 tsp. ginger powder1 can pineapple tidbits -syrup set aside1 green pepper cut into pieces10 mushrooms cut into pieces1/3 cup lite soya sauce1/3 cup white vinegar1/2 cup pineapple syrup1tbs. cornstarch
Directions
Combine beef, bread crumbs, egg white, skim milk, garlic, onion, ginger powder together.
Roll meat mixture into balls -makes about 24
In non-stick pan brown balls and drain on paper towelling to soak up any fat

In a sauce pan combine pineapple juice, vinegar,
soya sauce and stir under low heat.
Take corn starch with a little water to make paste/
When sauce is lightly boiling slowly add cornstarch to thicken mixture.
Add pineapple, green peppers and mushrooms to sauce then add meatballs.

Cook rice -
Serve rice with the Hawaiian Meatballs
Serves 6-8 people
