Low calorie no-fat oatmeal raisin cookies

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed1/2 cup white sugar1 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce1 egg1 1/2 cup flour1 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon cinnamon1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1/4 teaspoon nutmeg1 teaspoon baking soda4 cups old-fashioned oatmeal1 cup raisins (optional)
Mix ingredients in the order listed in the ingredients list, one at a time, except for salt through baking soda, which can be mixed all at once. Let site for five minutes, so oatmeal will absorb some of the moisture from the apple sauce.
Spoon onto greased baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees in a pre-heated oven for 8-10 minutes.
Take off cookie sheet and cool on a wire cooling rack.
