Blackened Chicken Strips

1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more if that's your taste)1/4 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper 6 oz. skinless, boneless chicken breast cut into strips1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
-Mix together paprika, salt, cayenne, cumin, thyme, and pepper
-Rub one side of chicken strips with spice mixture
-Heat oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat for 3-5 minutes, until on the verge of smoking
-Place chicken in hot pan, seasoned side down, and cook for 4-7 minute
-Turn, and cook 4-7 minute on other side
-Let sit & cool for at least 3 minutes after cooking
