General Tso's Crockpot Chicken

2 3/4 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts1 cup corn starch2 Tbl vegetable oil1 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp black pepper1 cup chopped green onionsauce1/2 cup hoisin sauce1/2 cup lite soy sauce1/2 cup rice vinegar1/4 cup water2 Tbl sugar2 Tbl garlic powder2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Cut chicken into bite-size pieces.
Preheat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Whisk together corn starch, garlic powder and pepper.
Add mixture and chicken to a large zip lock bag.
Seal bag and shake to coat.
Saute coated chicken 1-2 minutes until browned.
Combine remaining sauce ingredients.
Add chicken and the sauce mixture to a crock pot.
Cook on low for 3 hours.
Serving Size: makes 10 four ounce servings
