2 pound bag of pinto beans (soaked in water overnight)8 ounce can of tomato sauce2 lbs. ground beef1 green bell pepper (chopped)1 white onion (chopped)seasonings to taste (chili powder, cayenne pepper, garlic, salt and pepper, oregano, basil, etc.)
soak the beans overnight in water
throw beans and tomato sauce and a can of water in a pot and simmer for about 2 hours.
brown beef and onion together. Once brown, add to pot. Add bell peppers and any seasonings to taste. Simmer for about an hour-2, depending on beans consistency.
Makes 10, 1 cup portions.
