Grilled Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
1 pint fresh strawberries - washed and coredAngel food cake cut into 1 inch cubesStrawberry glaze1/2 pint strawberries - washed cored and chopped1 cup granulated sugar2 cups water
Directions
Soak bamboo skewers in water for about 2 hours
put whole strawberries on skewer, alternating with angel food cake cubes. About 6 strawberries and six cake cubes per skewer
brush glaze on skewers
grill over medium heat fire - about 30 seconds per "side" or about 4 minutes total

To make glaze, macerate strawberries in sugar and water. Bring water to a boil, then turn down to a simmer. Simmer until the mixture becomes syrupy.
