Turkey Sausage, Potato, Kale Soup

Ingredients
1 pound Turkey Italian Sausage6 slices bacon5 medium russet potatoes2 c. kale, chopped1 cup milk4 cups of water(2) 14 ounce cans of chicken broth1/2 large onion2 cloves of garlic2 tsp red pepper flakesSalt and pepper.
Directions
1. With a small amount of water, cook the sausage in pan until no longer pink, remove, drain.
2. Using the same pan, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
3. Slice the potatoes. Add the potatoes, minced garlic, diced onion, and water to a 4 quart dutch oven. Cook on medium heat until the potatoes are tender.
4. Chop the kale, remove the "woody" stems. Add the kale, cook sausage and bacon, and red pepper flakes to the potato mixture. Heat through, add the milk. Salt and pepper to your own taste.

Serving Size: Makes 6 - 2 cup servings
