Koring slaai (Wheat salad)

Wheat, 250 gram(s), wash, cooked and drainedMushrooms, fresh, 1.5 cup piecesYellow Peppers (bell peppers), 1 pepper, large, choppedOnions, raw, 1 small, choppedOlive Oil, 2 1tspSalt, 1 tspPepper, black, 1 tbspChicken Stock/Chicken Oxo Cube (0.5 Cube)Water, tap, 3.5 cup (8 fl oz)3 Tbspn light cream (Oprional)
Wash wheat and cook in 2 .5 - 3 cups of water with a teaspoon of salt on medium heat till al dente
Drain well
Add oil to a pan and fry onions, mushrooms and peppers till soft and cooked
Add wheat and onion mixture into a baking dish.
Mix chicken stock cube with 1 cup boiled water and add pepper, cream and a dash of salt.
Add to wheat mixture and bake in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes or till water has evaporated.
Serve warm or cold as a side dish
