Homemade caramel corn

Ingredients
Popcorn-stove cooked in oilBrown sugar-2 cupsButter 1 cupCorn syrup 1/2 cupBaking Soda 1/2 tSalt 1/2 tVanilla 1 t
Directions
Pop 4 quarts of popcorn in plain oil. (1/4 cup oil, 1/2 cup kernels) Salt and set aside.
Melt sugar, butter and corn syrup in heavy sauce pot, stirring until it boils. Once it comes to a low boil, let boil for 5 minutes with no stirring. Remove from heat and add soda, salt & vanilla. Pour over corn and bake on sheets or in pans for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
