Granny's Cornbread

Ingredients
1 cup self rising white corn meal1 cup self rising flour1 dash of salt (to taste)1 dash of pepper (to taste)water (enough to make a pancake batter consistency)
Directions
Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a small skillet. Mix all dry ingredients until well incorporated. Add water until batter becomes about like pancake batter. Pour batter into the skillet and cook uncovered about 10 minutes. Flip over and let cook another 5 minutes or so. You can cover with lid for the last 5 minutes if desired.

Serving Size: makes 6-8inch round loaf
