Jerk Turkey Slow Cooker Soup

Ingredients
¼ tsp ground allspice¼ tsp cayenne pepper½ tsp ground ginger½ tsp garlic salt½ tsp black pepper1 lb boneless, skinless turkey breast cut into chunks2 medium cloves garlic1 medium onion, diced14.5 oz canned diced tomatoes (fire roasted or italian seasoning)15 oz canned black beans2 cup canned FF chicken broth½ tsp table saltcilantro for garnish
Directions
1) Combine allspice, cayenne, ginger, garlic salt, and ¼ tsp black pepper.

2) Coat turkey chunks in spice rub and let sit for 15 minutes.

3) Put turkey, garlic, onion, beans, broth, salt and remaining pepper in the slow cooker.

4) Cook on low for 6-7 hours.

5) Top with cilantro.

    This was delicious. As I don’t have a slow cooker I used a casserole instead, I also added 1/4 cup chick peas and 1/4 cup butter beans. - 5/10/08
