whole wheat spaghetti with meat sauce

Ingredients
2 T olive oil1 medium onion, chopped4 cloves garlic, minced1 large can tomato puree1 large can crushed tomatoes1 pound ground turkey2 T Italian seasoning2 teaspoons salt1 pound wheat pasta, any shape
Directions
Preheat a large pot or dutch oven on medium heat. Add olive oil and garlic. Sautee for 1-2 minutes until garlic becomes fragrant. Add onions and sautee for 5-7 minutes, or until onions are translucent. Add ground turkey and sautee until turkey is browned, stirring occasionally. Add tomato puree, crushed tomatoes, salt and Italian seasoning. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

Serve over your favorite pasta.
Makes 8 1-cup servings.
