Brown Rice with Parmesan

Ingredients
2 T.olive oil1/2 c. vermicelli, uncooked and broken2 T. grated onion1 c. brown rice, uncooked1 1/2 c. chicken stock, hot1 1/4 c. water, hot1/2 t. ground white pepper2 bay leaves4 T. parmesan cheese
Directions
Heat olive oil over medium high skillet, add onion and vermicelli. Brown for 3-4 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except parmesan cheese, cover and cook until rice is done, about 30-40 minutes. Remove bay leaves, toss with parmesan cheese.
