Baked Tofu in Sweet Thai Chili Sauce

1 block extra firm tofu, drained and squeezed2 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce4 tbsp sweet thai chili sauce (bottled)
Slice tofu width-wise into eighths, then each eighth in half, then each piece in half diagonally.
Arrange in a single layer in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and tamari.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, flip tofu over, then bake for 15 minutes more. Spread chili sauce evenly over each piece and bake again until browned - about 15 more minutes.

Excellent recipe. Thanks. The tofu turns out golden, glazed and firm on the outside and tender inside--with great flavor. I cut the tofu in chunks, marinated in only 1Tbs oil & 1Tbs tamari and used Taste of Asia sweet chili sauce, which really brought out the golden color in the last 15 minutes. - 1/22/13
