Mom's Quick Rolls

.75 cup Granulated Sugar 2 tbsp Shortening, Crisco (heaping)2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw 8.0 cup Flour - King Arthur brand, unbleached bread flour (by OMALLEYC) 1 tsp. salt2 Cups of hot water1/2 cup of lukewarm water2 pkg. yeast
First mix the yeast with the 1/2 cup of lukewarm water, (Can add a little sugar to speed up the yeast), set aside. Mix sugar, shortening, salt, and water. When mixture cools, add eggs. Add about half the flour and yeast mixture. Add the rest of the flour. Let rise once. Make into rolls or Parker House Rolls or cinnamon rolls. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. To make Parker House rolls, roll out dough and cut with a 3" biscuit cutter. You can put a small amount of butter and fold over.
