Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients
2 Tablespoons Flour (Heaping)3/4 Cup Sugar 2 Tablespoons of Cocoa (unsweetened)2 Cups Milk (NonFat)2 Egg Yolks2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract2 Table Spoons Sugar 2 Egg Whites9 Inch Pie Crust
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Sift together flour, sugar, and cocoa. In sauce pan heat milk and eggs until lukewarm. Stir flour mixture into sauce pan and heat until thickened. Stir in Vanilla Extract. Pour mixture into Pie Crust. In other bowl, beat egg whites and two tablespoons sugar together until stiff peaks form. Spread mixture over the top of pie and place in oven until top is golden brown. Place in refrigerator to cool.

    More correctly should be labeled "Pudding" as the crust was not included in the nutrition calculations. I had such high hopes for this!! :( - 2/5/11

    This was my first try at making chocolate cream pie ... and this recipe turned out fantastic. It was a wonderful chocolate taste ... not too rich ... it was perfect. - 12/25/10
