curried lentil and garbanzo soup

1 cup Lentils 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 medium Carrots, raw .50 cup, chopped Onions, raw 3 clove Garlic 1 tbsp Curry powder 4 cup Vegetable Broth 2 cup Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) 1 fl oz Lemon Juice
heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over med high heat, add the onion and carrot saute til tender, add garlic and curry saute for 1 minute then add broth and lentils heat to boiling and reduce heat and simmer covered 35 to 40 minutes till lentils are tender. while soup is cooking drain the garbanzo beans and puree with lemon juice and remaining olive oil and 4 tablespoons of water till smooth. Stir into soup when lentils are tender heat until hot enjoy
