1 LB Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage ( sub Turkey sausage or ground beef/turkey)1 can whole kernel corn1 green pepper1 red chili pepper (optional)1 can tomatoes1/2 box pasta shells1 cup butter milk (optional)salt and pepper to tasteCook first then:IF DESIRED: make corn bread and place dough on top of mix in an oven safe dish and bake according to package directions.
place chopped onion, green pepper and chili pepper in frying pan with meat. cook until done. Drain grease and discard appropriately. Add pasta, milk, tomatoes and corn (drained) add enough water to cover pasta.
allow to simmer on low until past is done to your taste. AFTER it's done: IF desired place in baking dish and put cornbread mix to cover and back about 30 min. This addition adds to the overall prep/cook time.
