Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 4 serving Clove of Garlic (by BCOH1478) 1 serving Onion,Large Yellow Onion Sliced (1/4" thick) per slice (by 19TB61) 7 cup Canned Tomatoes 1 cup Swanson Chicken Fat Free Chicken Broth Less Sodium 6 tsp Granulated Sugar 4 tbsp Cream, Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream 2 tbsp Basil .25 tsp Oregano, ground
In heavy pan heat oil over medium high heat. Add garlic and saute, 30 seconds. Add onion and cook till translucent (about 8 minutes).
Add tomatoes, chicken broth, and sugar. Bring to a low simmer and cook uncovered 12 minutes or until thick.
Add cream, basil, oregano and salt and pepper to taste.
Use immersion blender (or carefull transfer to blender) and puree soup until there are no large chunks. Serve with hunk of warm bread.
Store in airtight container in refrigerator up to 5 days or can freeze.
