1 serving Onion - Yellow - 1 med. (2 1/2 dia) (by TIGERBABY27) .5 tbsp Allspice, ground (by CHUCKLES0719) 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground 1.75 cup Great Value Diced Tomatoes (in Tomato juice) .25 cup (not packed) Raisins .25 cup Parsley .25 tsp Salt .12 tsp Pepper, black 3 serving Luck’s Black Eyed Peas (1/2 cup) 12 oz Ground Beef (extra lean)
In large pan cook chopped onion until translucent about 3 mins. Add beef and cook until brown, about 4 mins. Add allspice and cinnamon and cook until fragrant about 20 seconds. Add tomatoes, stirring to scrape up any brown bits. Stir in black eye peas and raisins, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for around 7 minutes. Stir in parsley and salt and pepper, simmer 2 minutes uncovered then serve.
