Banana Nut Waffles

Ingredients
3/4 cup Milk, 2%1 large Egg, fresh1/4 tsp Nutmeg or cinnamon1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 Bananas3/4 cup, chopped Walnuts 2 tsp Baking Powder 2 Tblsp. packed Brown Sugar 1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour 1/3 cup Butter, salted
Directions
1. Turn on waffle iron between medium and hot.
2. Stir dry ingredients & nuts. Make sure there are no clumps.
3. Melt butter. Add milk & heat until lukewarm. Stir in mashed banana, beaten egg, & vanilla.
4. Combine wet & dry ingredients. Stir just until combined. May have tiny bumps. Laddle or pour batter into middle of hot waffle iron, enough to cover about 75 percent of surface area. Cook until waffle iron heats back up to temperature & waffle is done.
5. May serve immediately.

Serving Size: Makes approximately 5 waffles.
