Berry Cheese Danish

Ingredients
8 oz package of Neufchatel Cheese2 T of Light Sour Cream2 1/2 t of Sugar1 stick Butter (melted)24 sheets of Fillo Dough16 oz frozen Berry Medley1/2 t cornstarch
Directions
PREP:

Preheat oven to 350

Warm cheese in microwave
using whisk beat in sour cream and sugar

Melt butter

Grease cookie sheet with some of the melted butter


ASSEMBLY:

begin layering fillo dough by placing one sheet down on work surface and sprinkling with butter and placing another sheet of dough do this until you have 5 sheets stacked
Place sixth sheet of fillo onto stack

scoop 1/4 of cheese mixture onto Fillo dough and spread to form a line down the center

Top cheese with 1/4 frozen berries

Sprinkle very lightly with cornstarch

Wrap one side of Fillo dough over filling
Fold bottom of Fillo up seal with butter
Wrap the other side of Fillo dough around filling sealing seam with butter

Place onto greased cookie sheet seam side down
Cut vents into top of roll

Repeat all assembly steps to form four rolls

BAKING:

Bake at 350 for 20 t0 30 minutes until golden.
Let rest at least 5 minutes

SERVING:

Cut each roll into quaters for a dessert or snack portion. Makes 16 dessert portions.



I serve mine with light cool whip and fresh berries to make it more festive and seem like a larger and more impressive dessert.
