Vegetable Hamburger Soup

Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef1 1/2 c potatoes, diced1 c onions, chopped1/2 c celery, chopped fine1/2 tsp thyme4 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper1 c carrots, diced1 c cabbage, shredded1 lg can tomatoes, mashed1/4 tsp basil1 bay leaf2 qt water
Directions
Brown ground beef, drain and rinse. Place all of the remaining ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 hours.
