Ginger Cookies - soft

Ingredients
1.25 Cup Shortening2Cup white sugar mix then add2 large eggs.5 cup molasses work in4 Cup flour4 tsp baking soda2 tsp ground ginger1 tsp salt - optional2 tsp cinnamon2 tsp ground cloves
Directions
Mix well and refridgerate 2 hours so dough is cool to work with.
Roll into approx. i" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheep - press lightly with fork
Bake @ 325 degrees for 7 - 8 minutes - watch closely so as not to overbake. Can bake longer for crunchy cookies.
Makes approx. 60 - 75 cookies, depending on size of ball
