Simple Onion Soup

Ingredients
3.0 tbsp Butter, unsalted1.0 tbsp Canola Oil2.0 large Onions, raw5.5 cup Chicken stock, home-prepared
Directions
Slice onions in half and then into thin slices, melt butter and oil, add onions and cook over medium low heat for about 25 min. Stir often, and as a tbsp of water if they start to stick or brown, they should be soft but not browned. Add broth and bring to a simmer, simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serving Size: 5 bowls about 14 oz each
