I omitted the salt altogether and used Miracle Whip Calorie Wise and 2 tbsps of dijon instead of 3. I mixed the ingredients all together in a food processor which added air and used a plastic bag with a corner snipped to fill the eggs (much like an icing bag)...I had mixture left over. Loved them! - 6/15/09

Made these a few minutes ago using hardboiled eggs I had on hand-- WAY too salty! We couldn't even eat them. If I make this again, I will omit the salt altogether. - 1/31/09

I left out the salt and added paprika. I also used just about a teaspoon of pickle juice. My friends always ask me to make deviled eggs. - 9/23/09

I like to add a little dill relish to mine and tried using ff greek yogurt instead of the mayo. Turned out great! - 11/12/08

it's all good without the salt (salt and onion powder) better with a tiny portion of minced onion. - 7/17/09

I love develed eggs and will make this only using mustard and way less salt or none at all. Maybe add just a little dill relish. This should go over good with my son - 1/31/09

WAY too much salt! Were so salty they were inedible! I made them again with the other 6 eggs in the dozen, reducing the pepper to 1/2 tsp, leaving out the salt & adding a tsp of no-salt seasoning (Mrs Dash) & adding 1 tsp fresh finely diced & mashed onion instead of the powder. Much better flavor!! - 12/5/08

Adding some chopped up red or green pepper, some celery and onion makes such a difference to texture and taste . . . without adding hardly any calories or carbs. Drop the salt and cut back on the garlic for a more popular taste. - 8/29/09

It was great-except for the salt. Way too much!! Don't add the salt at all. - 7/12/09

I like a little 'kick' to mine so I reduce the mayo and add a little horseradish sauce. I do without the salt and add a bit of paprika on top for color and a little bit more bite if you use the good Hungarian paprika. - 2/26/10

You can tell just by reading this that the seasoning is way off. Just add salt, onion powder, pepper, mustard to taste. I would use garlic powder. I think small bits of garlic would be bitter in this instance. Also, I add a bit of worcestershire and tabasco to deviled eggs. - 4/7/10

Use apple cider vinagar instead of mustard. - 8/26/08

Great recipe, but, WAY too much salt. Ruined the whole thing. I will try it again with 1/8 teaspoon of salt NOT 1 full teaspoon. My son wanted to make it for his Birthday Dinner and we had to throw the whole double batch in the garbage. - 7/21/08

I LOVE mustard and hate mayo - I think I will save on the fat even more by not adding it.
Sounds delicious! Wwill try this! - 7/14/08

i try to stay away from sugar free or fat free... they usually add something i don't want when they take something out. a healthier version in my opinion is to replace the mayo with mashed avacado. taste great! - 12/13/12

I agree with comments saying you don't need the salt. I add 1 tbl finely minced onion, 1 tbl finely minced dill pickle, and 3 finely minced black olived. My husbands says my egss are the best! - 8/7/12

I've used fat-free mayonnaise before, but the garlic was a nice touch and yummy! - 6/3/11

I used 1/2 the salt and added a dash of paprika for coloring on top. I liked the eggs, but my teenage sons did not. - 2/21/11
