What a great idea! I added a little vanilla extract. It was amazing! - 8/15/08

The Original Rice Krispies recipe calls for:
3 tablespoons butter or margarine (1/4 cup),
1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows OR 4 cups mini marshmallows,
    6 cups cereal.
I'd imagine you'd use the same measurements for the Kashi recipe, and "light butter" = margarine - 4/2/09

light butter is not margarine - light butter is butter whipped with canola oil, which reduces the unhealthy saturated fat to some extent. Margarine generally has the worst trans fats and I avoid it.

AWESOME. Loved these! Used Smart Balance butter. Almost burned the marmallow mixture so make sure you keep stirring and pay attention if you use large marshmallows (I found the smaller ones melt easier). Thanks for the recipe! Have made three times already. Husb loves 'em and they are easy to make! - 5/18/09

These were so yummy! More flavor than rice crispys! I crushed the cereal before I added it so the chunks weren't so big. Big hit at work! LOVED IT!!!! - 8/6/08

I love this recipe, so does my boyfriend. I pack one with our lunches for a quick bite in the afternoon -- no more temptation from vending machines! Easy to make. It helps if you crush the cereal slightly -- the longer cereal pieces are hard to mix with the marshmallows. - 8/7/07

These were delicious! I used a 10 oz bag of mini-marshmallows and crushed the cereal in a ziploc bag. Thanks for the recipe! - 12/6/09

I liked using Kashi cereal more than rice cereal since I find Kashi cereal to be slightly sweet anyway. - 7/8/08

18 is a lot of servings for a one/two person household. I reduced it by 6: 1 cup kashi, 2 tsp lt butter and 7 marshmallows. Made three VERY tasty servings, though I think next time I'll crush the kashi a little more before mixing it in. THANK YOU for a healthy twist on an old favorite. - 6/22/11

When I first tasted this I thought it's good but can't replace rice krispies treats. BUT the longer it sits in your mouth, the better it tastes. I really liked this recipe and will make it again. - 10/25/10

It is Kashi so I won't try it because I actually don't like most of their products. The products taste like stale cardboard to me. - 6/16/09

Just made this and was pleased with the results. Good snack to have around....sorry I didn't think of only making a half batch as DH didn't care for them. - 7/12/12

Great recipe though I added dried fruit, seeds, dark chocolate morsels, almonds and walnuts to mine. It was very very filling, I wasn't hungry for hours unlike the regular ones or a breakfast bar and it satisfied my sweet tooth as well! - 2/27/12

Great recipe, I love it. As others did, I crushed some of the cereal. - 8/7/11
