Braised Beef

1.5 lbs stew beef pieces, cut in half1 c flour3 Tbl butter or margarineWater16 oz package of egg noodles
Roll the stew pieces in flour.
In a large skillet that has a cover, melt the butter. Brown the beef on all sides, stirring frequently.
When all sides are brown, lower heat and add enough water to almost cover the beef. Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Check the water level and stirr every 20 minutes.
Serve with cooked noodles.

This is the original recipe, which is a little bland for us, so I add some garlic and onion powder, but these additions are NOT accounted for in the nutrition facts. I just thought I might share that.
