Flossie's Fruit Cake (24 servings)

Ingredients
2 cups water1 cup Raisins 1 cup, pitted, chopped Dates 1/2 cup red glazed Cherries1/2 cup green glazed Cherries 1 cup Mixed Fruit 1 Orange1 tsp ground Nutmeg3/4 tsp Salt 2 tsp Cinnamon, ground 1/2 cup Canola Oil 2 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 cup chopped walnuts 2 cup all-purpose flour2 tsp Baking Soda
Directions
Boil water, raisins, dates, cherries, mixed peel, grated orange, nutmeg, salt and cinnamon for 5 minutes. Remove from stove.
Add canola oil. Let cool completely. Add vanilla, baking powder, nuts, flour and baking soda. Stir til moistened. Put in loaf pan or tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour. Cool.
