1/3 cup Heavy Whipping Cream6 large Eggs1 tsp Nutmeg, ground1/2 tsp Salt1 tsp Vanilla Extract1 cup, chopped Pecans10 slices Bread, french or vienna1/3 cup Granulated Sugar3 Tbsp Granulated Sugar for sprinkling
Beat eggs in large bowl. Whisk in milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg & salt. Slice bread into 10 3/4" slices. Working in batches, dip 10 slices of bread into egg mixture to coat.
Overlap bread slices in a 9" x 13" ceramic or glass baking dish. Pour remaining egg mixture over top. Cover & refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 375. Top bread with pecans & sprinkle with 3 Tbsp of sugar. Bake, covered with parchment-lined foil for 25 minutes. Uncover & bake an additional 20 - 25 minutes or until Brown & Crunchy.
