Chocolate Revel Bars

3 cups Quick cooking oats2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour1 tsp. baking soda1 tsp. salt1 cup I can't believe it's not butter (stick) softened2 cups brown sugar 2 eggs4 tsp. vanilla extract1 (14oz.) can of sweetened condensed milk1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips2 Tbs. butter (I can't believe it's not butter)1/2 tsp. salt1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, beat together 1 cup butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in eggs and 2 tsp. vanilla. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, and 11 tsp. salt; stir into butter mixture and set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan, heat sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, 2 Tbs. butter, and 1/2 tsp. salt over low heat, (I just use the microwave) stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in the walnuts and 2 tsp.vanilla.
4. Pat 2/3 of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread chocolate mixture evenly over the top, and dot with remaining oat mixture (I make small islands)
5. Bake for 30-35 minutes in preheated oven. Let cool on wire rack and then cut into bars.
Serves 24, 2"x2" Squares.
